Brief Introduction

Tinker Edge T is a single board computer (SBC) specially designed for AI applications.

Powered by Google Edge TPU – a machine learning (ML) accelerator, Tinker Edge T is capable of performing 4 tera-operations per second (TOPS) while using only 0.5W per unit calculate. It is also optimized for TensorFlow Lite models, making it easy to compile and run popular ML models.

Tinker Edge T features a special power design that delivers up to 45W of power, allowing for stable system operation and full I/O performance, even in cases where multiple devices are connected. In addition, the exclusive power protection design automatically activates to effectively protect the board and all connected devices when the supplied current and voltage change dramatically.

With the powerful and modern ARM-based NXP i.MX 8M puad-core processor, Tinker Edge T provides powerful solutions for graphics, machine vision, video, audio, voice and applications about safety. Tinker Edge T is equipped with 1 GB LPDDR4 memory for faster speed and lower power consumption to improve system performance. Tinker Edge T is also equipped with an integrated 8 GB and SD 3.0 eMMC interface that delivers significantly faster read and write speeds for operating systems, applications, and file storage.

Tinker Edge T features rich I/O interfaces, including one MIPI-DSI connection for monitors and touchscreens, and two MIPI-CSI connections for compatible cameras to enable computer vision for applications such as depth measurement, smart vending machine QR code payment system, and interactive advertising.

The Tinker Edge T also features a full-size HDMI port, USB Type-A, USB Type-C, gigabit LAN and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for networking.
