Brief Introduction

Tinker Board 2 is an Arm-based single-circuit board (SBC) computer, using a 64-bit processor of Arm big.LITTLE™ technology, delivering high computing performance with low power consumption.

Powered by a 6-core Arm® system on chip (SoC), with the new 64-bit Armv8 architecture – Rockchip RK3399 – Tinker Board 2 offers significantly improved performance compared to other popular SBC boards. Tinker Board 2 is equipped with Arm big.LITTLE technology that delivers nearly twice the performance of Tinker Board and is significantly faster than many competing SBCs.

The GPU included with the Tinker 2 board is the Mali-T860, a multi-core GPU that is the highest performance model built on Arm’s Midgard architecture. Specifically, the Mali-T860 is designed for complex graphics use cases and provides full support for OpenGL ES 3.0/3.1, OpenVG 1.1, OpenCL and other frameworks for 2D graphics applications / 3D next generation and legacy. Compared to the original Tinker Board, Tinker Board 2’s Mali-T860 GPU accelerates graphics performance by up to 28%.

It also supports dual displays at up to 4K UHD resolution and 3 common display interfaces are built in, including HDMI, DisplayPort over USB-C, and DSI.

Tinker Board 2 is designed to support Android 10 and for machine learning operations, compute-intensive machine learning, and more.
