The remote raw water pump station control monitoring system is an automation system that requires a central control SCADA computer that can operate continuously 24/7, with high stability in harsh working environments.

 

Water pumping system

The water pumping system contains many pumping stations as follows:

Level 1 pumping station (also known as raw water pumping station): Pumps water from the collection works to the treatment station.

Level 2 pumping station: Pumps water from the clean water tank into the consumption network or into the pressure tank.

Booster pump station: Used to increase local pressure on the network to supply water to high-rise buildings unexpectedly.

Circulating water supply pump station: Often used in circulating water supply systems of factories, enterprises, industrial parks…

These pumping stations are distributed in a large space, far from the factory and far from the control center. In Vietnam, each pumping station usually has to have an operation team to monitor and control shifts that work 24/7, which is quite expensive but not very effective.

A remote monitoring and control system will optimize labor, travel costs and most importantly, update the operating status of equipment continuously 24/7 to avoid damage to the Factory.

 

Solution

The IPC-7132/IPC-7220 computer is capable of operating 24/7, using the Intel core i7-7700 processor line, processing speed of 3.6 GHz (4 cores, 8 threads), internal memory up to 64GB, 8MB cache, integrated Intel HD Graphics 630,  SSD hard drive helps speed up reading and writing data many times compared to traditional HDD hard drives.

The system remotely monitors the basic operating status of the pumping station:

  • Pump operating status (running/stopping/error)
  • Water level status in tank (low/full)
  • The time the pump has been running
  • Height of water level in tank (actual linear value)
  • Pressure in the pipeline
  • Water flow pumped to the center
  • Voltage, current, power consumption
  • The running frequency of the inverter
  • Turbidity of water
  • Remote control system:
  • Select running mode for pump (Auto/Manual)
  • Set pump time
  • Turn on/off the pump remotely
  • Set the running frequency for the inverter to adjust the pumped water flow to the center.
